Handloom weaving
Handloom weaving in man-made fibers
We manufacture woven textiles on handlooms, including fabrics made from man-made filaments and fiber blends. Yarn preparation and weave control are set for each construction before cloth comes off the beam.
Production sequence
From yarn cone to woven cloth
01
Yarn warping
Yarns are wound onto the warp beam in set lengths and tension, prepared to handle the tensile properties of man-made filaments.
02
Shuttle weaving
Operators maintain a consistent shuttle rhythm and pick density across each yard, keeping the weave even from selvage to selvage.
03
Inspection off the beam
Cloth is checked directly off the loom to confirm weave uniformity and hand feel before it leaves the production run.
Fiber behavior
Synthetic filaments under loom tension
Man-made filaments and blends respond differently to loom tension than standard spun yarns. Warp tension and shuttle pace are adjusted so the cloth holds its shape across the full width.
Yarn comparison
Filament yarns run smooth and continuous, while spun yarns carry more fiber ends. Each construction is set for its own yarn type.
